ALTHOUGH / THOUGH / EVEN THOUGH
Meaning: They all mean "aunque" and introduce a contrast between two ideas. However:
- "Even though" is the strongest.
- "Although" is formal.
- "Though" is informal and can be used at the end of a sentence.

2. IN SPITE OF / DESPITE
Meaning: They both mean "a pesar de", and are followed by a noun, a pronoun, or a verb in -ing form.

(A pesar del tráfico, llegamos a tiempo.)
🔹 Despite his illness, he went to work.
(A pesar de su enfermedad, fue a trabajar.)
🔹 In spite of being rich, he is not happy.
(A pesar de ser rico, no es feliz.)
🔹 Despite the rain, they continued playing.
(A pesar de la lluvia, siguieron jugando.)
