 Stimulus and the Human Response

What happens when your little brother jumps out from behind the sofa and yells "boo!"?  You get startled.  When your brain is presented with a stimulus.  It produces a reaction called a response.

For example:

Your phone rings.

Stimulus:                 You hear the ringing sound.

Response:                You pick up te phone and answer it.

Your body is awsome!  Look at the picture below to see how does it work!



Think about eating your lunch.  As you eat, your nervous system initiates the start of digestion and liberates many hormones and enzymes throughout your body.



In this case, eating is the stimulus and digestion is the involuntary response.

Now, it is your tourn to classify these words into stimulus and response.
